Elderly woman unhurt in Msida blaze
A woman in her eighties escaped unhurt this morning in a blaze which destroyed a room in her yard.
The incident happened at about 5 a.m. in Navarra Street, Msida.
Furniture in a yard which had been roofed over caught fire, the flames quickly spreading to the ceiling itself, but the woman woke up and escaped from the house unaided.
Fire crews from the Civil Protection Department were on site.
