The Astra Folk Group recently organised Folkgħabex – an international folk festival – to commemorate its 40th anniversary and to support the Malta Community Chest Fund. Taking part were I Salviani di Savoia di Lucania (Italy), Grupo Etnografico de Dancas e Cantares do Minho (Portugal) and Dylen Folk Group (Czech Republic). The Astra Folk Group together with other groups staged a Maltesewedding at St George’s Square, Victoria.
