Go has pledged its full support to l-Istrina – the Community Chest fund-raising campaign scheduled for Boxing Day.

Go has also extended its support towards the other events organised by the Malta Community Chest Fund including Rockestra, the President’s Fun Run and for the first time this year it organised the Go Charity Fun Day – a marathon of family activities in aid of l-Istrina.

Go is the official communications provider for the Malta Community Chest Fund and throughout the year supports the organisation with the provision of various communication and entertainment services free of charge at the Community Chest Fund premises in Valletta and the l-Istrina office at San Anton Palace.

In addition, Go offers its support by waiving call charges and other expenses connected with donations made by phone during the fund-raising initiative. Last year, Go provided working hours, communications infrastructure, services and a donation of over €60,000.

Go’s chief executive officer David Kay said: “This time of year is very special for Go in that we take the chance to focus some of our efforts on meeting our important social responsibilities. These events cover a wide spectrum of community experience with l-Istrina being by far the major initiative we have invested in over the years.

“Our technical teams – as always – will be making every effort to secure the success of the fund-raising marathon.”
