Malta’s sunny days that were the envy of freezing Europe have been blown away by the cold wind that has given rise to a sudden chilly spell this week.
The northwest wind accompanied with the low pressure brought the lower temperatures from northwest Europe, including the UK, according to the Meteorological Office.
However, things are set to brighten up over the coming days, with yesterday’s maximum of 12°C getting better as the wind turns southwest and blustery with a force seven yesterday evening. The wind will bring warmer weather from North Africa, with maximum temperatures improving over the weekend with an expected rise to 15°C today, rising to a maximum of 19°C tomorrow and 20°C on Monday.
