Vodafone Malta and Vodafone Malta Foundation today presented €30,000 for l-Istrina

The cheque was present to President George Abela by the outgoing CEO of Vodafone Malta, Inaki Berroeta, in the presence of the new CEO Balesh Sharma, members of the Vodafone Malta Foundation and the Deputy British High Commissioner.

Over the years, as part of its corporate social responsibility programme, the Vodafone Malta Foundation has donated over €2 million to different organizations. Out of these, over €98,000 were donated to the Malta Community Chest Fund.

During today's presentation ceremony Vodafone Malta also presented its third Corporate Social Responsibility Report which features data related to energy efficiency and employees' contribution to charity schemes.

Dr Abela said that Vodafone Malta and the Vodafone Malta Foundation had always supported the Malta Community Chest Fund. He praised the company for its corporate social responsibility approach.

Mr Berroeta said Vodafone Malta was committed in offering continuous support to the Maltese Community and to the Malta Community Chest Fund.

“I personally consider the Malta Community Chest Fund as being the backbone of social cooperation and solidarity in Malta. As we did in the past, this year again, we are contributing to this campaign because we truly believe in the objectives and aims set, so that the Maltese society as a whole would be able to benefit.”

Mr Sharma pledged his commitment to continue providing continuous support to the Malta Community Chest Fund in the years to come.
