Maltese international player Daniel Bajada continued to reaffirm his potential when improving his ranking in the Italian league from 451 to 233 following a string of positive results during November.

Bajada’s Serie B1 side ASD Fiaccola were determined to notch their fourth consecutive victory last weekend. However, they ultimately had to succumb to a superior APD G. Castello side, losing 5-2 at home.

Bajada lost two of his matches with a narrow 3-2 scoreline against Augusto Ferranti (ranked 150) and Marco Del Bravo (ranked 200) . In another match, Bajada was beaten 3-1 by Daniele Bianchi (ranked 214).

Thanks to this win, Rome side Castello consolidated their second position while Fiaccola are joint third along with three other teams.

Fiaccola’s first round commitments will come to a close on January 22 when they face Pescara side Tenute Zinni Casalbordino away from home.
