A Maltese Christmas crib, representing a typical Maltese landscape with terraced fields and traditional rubble walls, was included for the first time in the International Exhibition of Christmas Cribs in Brussels.

On the initiative of the Maltese Embassy, the crib, which is one-metre-and-a-half long and a metre wide, and was made by Joseph Grima, who resides in Belgium, is currently on display in St Michael’s cathedral in Brussels.

The exhibition, organised by the dean of the cathedral together with the City of Brussels, was inaugurated on November 28 and will remain open until January 16, 2011.

Entrance is free.
