Malta participated in the latest cultural event organised by the Cercle des Ambassadrices in Belgium, which took place on December 3 at the US Embassy in Brussels.

The exhibition was an opportunity for the participating countries to display unusual international handicraft, and Malta exhibited a lace pillow with ċumbini, upon which Maltese lace is worked. The lace pillow was loaned from the private collection of Mary Agius from Gozo.

During the reception for the inauguration of the exhibition, each country contributed food and drinks, and guests could enjoy Maltese galletti, sun-dried tomatoes, ġbejniet, and Maltese wine.

Malta’s participation was coordinated by the counsellor and consul-general of the Embassy in Brussels, Annabelle Shawish Mifsud.
