A seminar for teachers and students entitled ‘Millennium Development Goals Update—What Can We do?’ was held recently by the sociology and social studies departments at Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary School, Naxxar, in collaboration with ‘Schools2Communities’, which is Kopin’s global education project

A group of students from the school presented their work on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). A play was also presented introducing the history, development and recent updates from the September New York summit on the MDGs.

Seminar participants were active in workshops in which good practices in Malta related to the MDGs were explored.

Participants proposed actions that schools and communities can take together to contribute to achieving the MDGs.

The audience consisted mostly of educators and students from various schools.
