With the support of HSBC, Junior Chamber International Malta (JCI Malta) has managed to widen its international network and be present in a number of major conferences held throughout the year.
JCI Malta is bidding to host the JCI European Conference in 2014 in Malta. If successful, some 2,000 delegates from Europe and beyond would be visiting Malta to share their various entrepreneurial experiences and best practices. The conference would also provide a unique opportunity for various business networks and the tourism industry.
JCI Malta is affiliated to JCI, an independent, worldwide federation of young professionals and entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 40. The organisation provides young people with an opportunity to develop their leadership and entrepreneurial skills.
JCI Malta presidentKarl Grech said: “With the support of HSBC, a number of flagship projects have been organised throughout the year. These include the Best Business Plan Competition, The Business Networking Event, and The Outstanding Young Person Award.
“Our members also join HSBC during its Corporate Social Responsibility Day when members of both organisations reach out to various charit-able organisations within the community in a very tangible manner.”
HSBC Malta has been helping JCI Malta with financial support and professional assistance to be in a better position to reach out to more organisations and individuals.
HSBC Malta head of market-ing Brian Tortell said: “HSBC believes in fostering links with young Maltese entrepreneurs to build a stronger business community upon which a sound economy is based.”
