Corporate Identities International has entered into a partnership with Saatchi and Saatchi Health which forms part of the Publicis Group and is the number one communications services company in life science.

Jesmond Saliba, managing director of Corporate Identities International said that the company was set up on the principle that it assists clients fulfil their potential through an intelligent application of various communications techniques.

“Today’s event fulfils the target set two years ago, that of engaging with an international partner which shared the company’s vision. Our link with Saatchi and Saatchi Health is a step in that direction,” he said.

“Our experience in Milan, through our sister company Corporate Connections, has made us realise that everyone, and above all, our country has a story to tell. And this is exactly the core vision that drives our philosophy and way of doing business – being in the knowledge that everyone has a great story to tell, that every great story is unique and we help the companies bring out their uniqueness,” Mr Saliba said.

Andrea Fontanot, CEO of Saatchi and Saatchi Health (Italy) said that the partnership between Corporate Identities and Saatchi and Saatchi Health stems from the fact that both sides believe there are a number of good strong reasons for teaming up.

These include Malta’s international business reputation, the availability of specialised infrastructures for the life science industry, a highly skilled and multilingual workforce, the country’s economy and its strategic location, he said.

Finance Minister Tonio Fenech welcomed Saatchi & Saatchi Health to Malta saying healthcare was an important pillar of the economy, not only through its contribution to GDP but also through the employment of a large number of people.

Mr Fenech said the pharmaceutical industry has generated €96 million of gross value added to the economy in 2009, with a capital investment that exceeded €250 million. He said pharmaceutical exports increased to €176.1 million in the first nine months of this year, which represents a 12 per cent increase over last year.
