The London Society of Music (LSM) and the British College of Accordionists recently organised two concerts at St Aloysius’College, Birkirkara.
The chosen theme for both concerts was ‘song’. Nathalie Demicoli and her advancedart students prepared an exhibition of paintings related to the topic, which were displayed in the concert hall.
The musical programme kicked off with an arrangement of The Phantom of the Opera, performed by the new LSMkeyboard orchestra, under the direction of Mro Mark Agius, with soprano Anita Vella Bondin, tenor Arthur Micallef and bass James Vella Bondin.
During the junior concert, 17 students performed on their respective instruments; during the senior concert, four students performed. These were followed by 11 diplomaperformers.
Over 100 distinction candidates received their certificates and 24 graduates received their diplomas at the concerts.
