Man and boy, 6, hospitalised after car crash in Attard

A man and young boy were hospitalised yesterday afternoon after a collision between a car and a pick-up truck on Mdina Road, Attard.

Civil Protection Department personnel had to cut out the 26-year-old driver from the wreckage, before he was taken to hospital in an ambulance along with a six-year-old boy in the same vehicle.

The man suffered serious injuries but is not in danger, while relatives said the seatbelt prevented any injuries to the boy.

The pick-up vehicle was driven by a 54-year-old Gozitan who was not injured.
