A 12-hour marathon cake sale is being organised by Viset plc on December 8 to raise funds for L-Istrina 2010. The cake sale will run between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. at the Old Power Station at the Valletta Waterfront.

Those interested in helping out L-Istrina 2010 is easy: Just bake an extra cake this Christmas and deliver it to the Valletta Waterfront during the charity cake sale.

All proceeds raised during the sale will be passed on to the Malta Community Chest Fund through the L-Istrina 2010 charity campaign.

Cakes can vary in size, shape and filling. Other sweet pastries are also accepted.

On the day, the Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) will run a cafeteria selling an assortment of specialty coffees freshly prepared on-site to one’s liking.

A Christmas Village at the Valletta Waterfront

In addition to the cake sale, this Christmas the Valletta Waterfront is promising to offer fun and entertainment for all the family. The Valletta Waterfront will host an array of Christmas events helping to keep the Christmas spirit alive throughout the whole month – packed with fun activities every day of the month.

A Christmas Village is open every day including weekends and public holidays at the Old Power Station.

The Christmas Village brings the various aspects of Christmas including Christmas food, Christmas gifts, Christmas decorations and activities for children together under one roof.

A live crib runs every day and children can look forward to taking photos with their favourite man of the month: Santa Claus.

Falconry displays, jugglers and other animators will provide more entertainment throughout the month.

Visit www.valettawaterfront.com or the Valletta Waterfront Facebook page for event opening hours and schedule.
