Vodafone Malta has new CEO
Balesh Sharma has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Malta. He takes over on February 1. Mr Sharma has over 20 years experience in multinational companies based in India with a track record of financial success and operational leadership.

Mr Sharma has over 20 years experience in multinational companies based in India with a track record of financial success and operational leadership. He has been associated with the telecoms industry for the past 15 years, ever since the inception of Mobile telephony in India. His last post was as Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Gujarat, which is the largest and most profitabloperation for Vodafone India.
During Balesh Sharma’s stint in Gujarat the Vodafone subscriber base from 2 million to 13 million, adding almost 3.5 million in 2010. Revenue tripled in the same period from about €150 million per annum to €460 million.
Previously, Balesh Sharma worked for Vodafone in Delhi and Bangalore markets, BPL Mobile, Ricoh and Xerox and has also vast experience in technology start-ups.

Inaki Berroeta has taken up the post of CEO at Vodafone Romania.
