Five players get one-match ban

Five players were given a one-match ban yesterday.

Valletta’s Brazilian defender Ramon was suspended following his red card in first half of the derby against Floriana last weekend. Midfielder Jamie Pace was also handed a one-match ban after collecting his fourth yellow card in Saturday’s stalemate. The Valletta duo served their suspension in yesterday’s BOV Premier League match against Ħamrun Spartans.

Floriana’s Christian Caruana and Joseph Borg were also banned for one game after both earned their fourth book-ing in Saturday’s derby. The midfielders will miss Floriana’s match against Hibs on Saturday.

Justin Grioli has also been suspended for one match after receiving his fourth booking in Tarxien’s goalless draw against Birkirkara on Sunday. The right-back will have to skip the Rainbows’ match against Marsaxlokk on Saturday.
