Birgu Boċċi Club end season on ‘super’ note

Premier League champions Birgu Boċċi Club ended their season on a high after beating Anġlu Cup holders Paola Schreiber 21-12 in the Super Cup final at the Qormi San Bastjan pitch. Playing under the name of Hibs, the three-man Paola team had beaten We Five (from Birgu) 21-12 in the final of the Anġlu Cup. Birgu avenged their knock-out upset by seeing off Paola in the Super Cup (Tac-Chossi) final. The referees of the two finals were Saviour Iavarrone and Raymond Azzopardi.
