AZZOPARDI. On Saturday, November 27, at Villa Messina, Rabat, VIRGINIA, widow of Joseph, passed away peacefully at the age of 98. She leaves to mourn her sad loss her daughter Marquita and her husband Stuart Craig, her daughter Eileen and her husband Albert Leone Ganado, her son Peter, widower of Anna, née Diacono, her daughter Nancy and her husband Joseph D. Camilleri; her grandchildren Gordon and Audrey, Alan and Sharon, Tim, Steve and Julie, Andrew and Roberta, Simon, Ninia, Michael and Matthew, and her great-grandchildren and other relatives. The funeral leaves Villa Messina today at 1.30 p.m. for Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment. The family would like to thank the staff at Villa Messina for their care and support. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

DARMANIN. On November 29, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIA, née Ellul Bonici of Floriana and residing at Pax et Bonum, Mosta, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister Carmelina, her nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2 p.m. for St Publius parish church, Floriana where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Naxxar Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family would like to thank the Franciscan Sisters at Pax et Bonum for the care and dedication during the many years she spent there. Merciful Lord, grant her eternal rest.

GALEA MANISCALCO. On November 29, FR LAWRENCE, aged 82, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sister Ġuża, his brother-in-law Emidio Caruana, his nieces Mary Rose, Margaret and Monica and their respective husbands, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 7 a.m. for his residence at 38, San Lawrenz, Bishop Labini Street, Birkirkara, where his body will lie in state in his private chapel until 9 a.m., after which Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.15 a.m. at St Theresa church, Birkirkara, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

GIUSTI. On November 29, ­VICTOR, aged 53, of Tarxien and residing at St Vincent De Paul Residence, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brother Godwin and his wife Anna, Bridget, widow of his brother Charles, nephews and nieces Luke and his girlfriend Desiree, Sarah, Matthew, Mark, Lisa, Michael and Andrea, uncles and aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent De Paul Residence today at 2 p.m. for the Tarxien parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Diocesan Youth Commission President

Archbishop Paul Cremona has nominated Anthony Mifsud, 29, as president of the Diocesan Commission for Youth. Mr Mifsud takes the place of Fr Savio Vella who was president for the last six years.

Adoration

Adoration and Mass will be held on Sunday at St Francis church, Msida Road, Birkirkara, between 2 and 5 p.m. Everyone is invited.
