The Malta FA has stepped up its drive to embellish the facilities at the National Stadium and in other football venues. Works on the West Stand of the stadium include a facelift to the supporters’ entrances and a new executive lounge. The media working area is also being extended and upgraded (see picture above). Entrance for media personnel and VIP will now be by means of a new bridge from the reserved parking area. Elsewhere, a new warming-up area has been set up at the Centenary Stadium. All this work is being funded by the Malta FA and UEFA through its ‘Win in Europe’ programme.
