Investigations by independent auditors contracted by Transport Malta in June 2008 showed that the average rate of accuracy of the Controlled Vehicular Access (CVA) system was 97 per cent. Answering a parliamentary question by Joe Mizzi (PL), Transport Minister Austin Gatt said that with effect from May 2007 Transport Malta had entered into an agreement with CVA Technology Ltd. The agreement had stipulated a minimum accuracy rate of 96 per cent from the third month of operations.
