Couple arrested after drugs find
A man and a woman have been arrested after some 3kg of cannabis resin were found.
The police said the drug was found after the man was monitored following a tip-off that he may be importing and trafficking drugs.
The 25-year-old from Lija was arrested yesterday in Zebbug and found in possession 1.75 kg of cannabis resin.
A further 1.25kg of the drug were found in searches in his car and his house.
A 21-year-old woman from Naxxar was arrested in connection with the case.
Magistrate Edwina Grima is holding an inquiry.
