Four of the most beautiful and important maps from the personal collection of Albert Ganado are being reproduced as a fund-raising initiative by Fr Charles Cini SDB for St Patrick’s Salesian School.

The patented Incisioni Impresse photo-etching technique was used last year to successfully reproduce the set of 15 black and white prints of the 1565 Great Siege etchings by Matteo Perez d’Aleccio.

Daniel Cilia’s continuous collaboration with Florentine publisher Masso delle Fate developed the technique to recreate coloured Incisioni Impresse TM. For each map, eight state-of-the-art metal matrixes have been incised to reprint the coloured engravings on specially-made 250 gram cotton paper. The maps have a height of 43 centimetres and an average width of 54 centimetres. Produced in a limited numbered edition of only 300 sets, the four prints are presented in an elegant and protective sleeve.

Each set of four maps costs €250 and will be available from the beginning of next month by contacting Fr Cini at charlescini@gmail.com or by calling 2133 7572/7949 2555.
