Mgr Charles Scicluna, the Vatican’s Promoter of Justice of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, was the guest of honour at St Edward’s College Prize Day on November 19. Mgr Scicluna, who attended St Edward’s Sixth Form in 1975, expressed his appreciation of all he learnt during his time at the college and his happiness at being able to visit the school again after an absence of 35 years.

His speech centred around the college’s motto Virtus et Honor (strength and honour). He explained the background to the motto and its meaning and how students could apply the motto to their everyday lives.
