Yes it is about time that the PM wake up and stop this venom which has become so common now in our media. It is about time that libel cases should not take yrs to be heard before our courts. A law should be passed which stipulates a time limit for libel cases. How many of the pre election libel cases have been heard?. This is a disgrace which encourage persons to tarnish other persons' reputation. I remember many yrs back Dr. J.Muscat was fined 5,000 Maltese pounds for similar offense against PM Dom. after the case was treated with urgency. So why all this foot dragging now.. I urge the Minister for Justice to update our laws which are too lenient especially as regards those dealing with libel cases..

It's about time that someone stops all this venom coming out from an 'independent' paper subsidised by people of all colours.
