The Lamborghini Reventon

The Lamborghini Reventon

A €5 million Lamborghini Reventon, one of only 20 in the world, will be the main attraction in a supercar paddock during this year’s fund raising event Paqpaqli għall-Istrina, which will be held on December 12.

The current Vodafone McLaren Mercedes formula 1 racing car will also be on display.

Paqpaqli għall-Istrina is supported by Middlesea Insurance and Transport Malta.

The yearly fund raising motoring activity Paqpaqli għall-Istrina will be held at the Malta International Airport including the Lufthansa Technik Malta hangars.

Lamborghini will also be sending to Malta the Murcielago Roadster and during the event can be used to collect funds for l-Istrina by taking passionate motorists for a ride on the airport taxiway.

More attractions will include the latest supercar by Mercedes Benz, the SLS AMG, which has also been made available purposely for the event through local agent Kinds.

BMW Group Malta will be bringing to Malta the world streetbike freestyle rider and four-times World Stunt Riding Champion, Chris Pfeiffer, who will be giving shows throughout the day.

These are just a few of the attractions during Paqpaqli għall-Istrina, which this year is being organised by the Malta Community Chest Fund in collaboration with Tonio Darmanin producer of the television programme Paqpaq.

All the motoring clubs in Malta have been invited to participate in this event either for the static show or the action arenas. An appeal is being made to owners of particular vehicles, being either classics or exotic, who are not members of any club to contact the organisers to display their vehicle during the day.

The event opens to the public at 9am and will also be a fun day out for all the family, apart from motoring enthusiasts. A kids zone will be set up and a food court will serve dishes throughout the day.

The event will be split into four zones. The area directly in front of the Lufthansa Technik hangars will host a static display. Three different tracks will be set up for motorsports enthusiast to practice their hobby including offroading, sprints, drifting and circuit events.

Entrance to the public will be against a donation of €5. Entrance to the show will be from Gate 9 accessed from Luqa Road and turning into Ħal Farruġ Road and driving towards Ta’ Kandja. Public parking will be available both inside the venue and at the Montekristo complex.

Thank God there are rich people and poor people around, for that keeps a stable situation.
It is normal for any government to keep the unemployment rate between 4 to 11% as anything away from that is a very unstable economy. In the very basic people requirements in society there are Rich people, Working people and Clowns to keep them happy!
And to end this rich and poor behaviour, Where would the poor be without the rich ?Many poor would be poorer as jobs will be scarer.
As far as our situation goes, " If begging be your lot , knock on a rich man's door. He may let you polish his Lamborghini and in return, pay you , give you a meal, or shelter. It is no good going to the poor for they , like you will not have any either and will fight for any they receive from the charities we send them, and I am not sure it arrives or get to them. So Rich and poor relations are as normal as nature meant it to be.

It is interesting that This Lamborghini coming to Malta is being brought over in order to collect money for the needy. Interesting enough midde class people who can give, will not give freely for nothing in return. Even giving to Strina, those who can, did expect to win presents, or be entertained by the show. When this Lamborghini comes along, people will help the poor much more if you let them ride or drive the Lamborgini. All we do in life is for selfish reasons even charity!!! ( so that we may go to heaven, and that is selfish is it not!!)
Once Abraham Lincoln was arguing with his secretary that all we do we do it for selfish reasons. On the way, the president walked in the mud and assisted to release a piglet caught in thorns, where by the secretary told him "Now that was not selfish was it?" and The President of America said, " Yes it was, now I can go home and get my sleep, for if I did not help that little creature, my sleep would be heavily disturbed with remorse that when I could assist, I did not!"

Oh yes indeed. And thank god, perhaps, that you are not one of those "useful" poor people, right?

Of course I was one of those poor usefulpeople. I was born during a killerwar in a shelter. My mother had no kitchen,no toilets and no toilet paper, nobathrooms. To feed us she used to make me keep some chickens and rabbits. When I went to England, out of a weekly wage of £4.50 , £3. went for my accomodation and £1.50 to live on. I lived with poor people in England! Then I met harderworking people and so I realised that I had to try harder. I took part time jobs, cooking and washing my own clothes and overcoming the "poor man's lonlines in a useful manner"I went to university, payed my own fees , paid for the rent, and upkeep. Some of my friend suffered hunger, thankGod I did not, thanks to Fish and chips and a good English breakfast.Out of the little I had I bought shoes for poor foreign children inEngland whose parents were poorer than I wasatthatstage.Slowly I slid throughPhysical poverty line into a reasonable existance! evolving slowly through hard work and a non socialistic and non, communistic and non, charitabilistic belief. I made my own fishing rod and now I fish to eat and sharealittle with the usefulpoor.

yes well unfortunately some people are so poor, much - much poorer than you ever were in fact - that they cannot afford to eat enough so that they can one day "evolve". they just die at a young age.

oh well, as long as they are useful to you, who suffered a lot during childhood...

If you could afford a Reventon you wouldn't really care and would fly past those cash cow speed cameras with your middle finger high in the air.
