Love and gender and the way they are perceived in society will be explored during a dance and theatre production in which actors freely apply their ideas.
The dark costumes and masks used in the production, called 100, are further intensified by the location of the performance to be held at Dock No 1 in Cospicua.
The themes of love and gender will be investigated through the concepts and roles of women and men and their relationship with death, summer and winter.
The visual dance and theatre production is organised by Rubber Bodies, a multi-disciplinary artist collective. Artists are encouraged to be creative and curious through their performance aimed at not being restrictive in nature.
The aim of the collective is to integrate art as a category in a society that builds expectations, values and roles based on a controlled system generated by the powerful bodies of religion, politics and the media.
The idea is to address culturally determined perceptions by creating spaces for the observation of serious social and political issues.
The production premiered last weekend and other performances will be held on Friday and Saturday starting at 8.30 p.m.
One of the artists, composer and sound designer Mario Sammut known as Cygnamusic, will be performing his new work on Sunday at 8.30 p.m.
