Aegee Valletta recently celebrated its 13th anniversary with a reception at Nove, St Julian’s.
Aegee Valletta president Euchar Sultana gave a brief talk about the achievements and successes of the association since it began in 1997.
He then presented the new executive board members and explained the plans for the coming year.
Mr Sultana also congratulated Pierre Vassallo La Rosa for his recent appointment as network commissioner within Aegee Europe.
Alistair Zarb, alumni co-ordinator, thanked those present and all others whose efforts have helped to keep Aegee-Valletta among the most prominent organisations on campus and within the Aegee European network.
Aegee, the European Students’ Forum, is the largest pan-European network of students, with 17,000 members spanning more than 270 antennae in different European university cities.
Founded in 1985, Aegee works towards increasing mobility among students based on the ideal of European integration.
It also works towards removing mental and physical borders, while promoting mutual tolerance and understanding across borders and cultures.
