Wrong cancer label

I wish people would stop talking about cancer as if it were a terminal illness.

First, I know a lot of people who had cancer and survived it.

Secondly, this kind of talk is damaging to people who are battling with cancer.

My sister is one of them and nothing makes her feel worse than referring to cancer as if she is going to die tomorrow. I have one thing to say to the local media: Stop, for you are doing more harm than good. By all means, it can be termed as a serious illness because it is not exactly the flu but to keep referring to it as terminal is hurting a lot of other people, besides my sister.
