EF Englishtown, the world’s largest online English school, has launched its Mobile English app for the iPhone, available for free on Apple’s App Store. Combining Englishtown’s powerful learning tools with the ease of use of the iPhone, the app will allow EF students to learn English anytime, anywhere.

“We centre everything we do around the needs of our students,” says Bill Fisher, president of EF Englishtown. “When we saw that our students were using their mobile phones to look up words even more frequently than to browse the web, we realised we had an opportunity to put English learning literally into the hands of our students.”

From the company that brought the world 24-hour access to live English teachers, the EF Mobile English app brings the magic of the iPhone to Englishtown’s learning platform.

EF’s new English learning app is also available on the iPad and iPod Touch. Beyond essential features such as dictionaries and translation tools, the EF app gives students access to 5,000 flashcards, English pronunciation practice tools, listening tests, and other study materials.

Most importantly, the app responds to student progress, tailoring each session to the student’s needs for optimal learning efficiency and speed.
