• A commemorative lecture by Gozitan World War II expert Charles Bezzina will take place at the Banca Giuratale, Victoria, today at 10.30 a.m.

• The Leone Band of Victoria is holding its annual symphonic concert at the Aurora Theatre today at 7.30 p.m. Entrance is free. Doors open at 7 p.m.

• Sannat council will today celebrate World Children’s Day at Sannat parish square. The programme starts with Mass at the parish church at 10.30 a.m., followed by events and refreshments.

• The Spy Next Door will be screened at the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30 p.m.

• The Bethel Charismatic Group will be holding a prayer meeting at the church of Our Lady of Pompeii, Victoria, on Saturday at 7 p.m.

• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening at the chapel of the Gozo General Hospital, Victoria, on Saturday at 8 p.m., followed by Mass at midnight.

• The Xewkija Drama Company will stage Cella 86 at the Govanni Theatre, Xewkija, on Saturday at 7.30 p.m. and on November 28 at 6.30 p.m.

• The historial re-enactment groups Malta Command World War II Living History Group and the Senglea Drama Group, in collaboration with Nadur council, will present scenes from World War II at St Peter and St Paul Square on Saturday at 5 p.m. on the occasion of Jum il-Kunsill. During the event the council will be collecting donations in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund.

• A stained glass exhibition by Joe Meilak and Nadur students attending the school of art course in Għajnsielem will open at the Joe Tabone Hall, Nadur council, on Friday at 7 p.m.It will remain open until December 18.

• The OASI Foundation, in collaboration with the Gozo Ministry and the National Youth Council, will be holding the 18th edition of the Youth of the Year Award at Ta’ Ċenċ, Sannat, on Saturday at 6.30 p.m. For reservations call 2156 3333 by Wednesday.

• Xagħra council will be holding a car boot sale at Victory Square in the village next Sunday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
