Gasco Energy has awarded a €1.95 million contract to Mekanika Ltd related to the planned €20 million LPG cylinder-filling plant at Bengħajsa.
Mekanika has been engaged for the commissioning of mechanical and electrical services, and the supply, installation and maintenance of lifts and air-conditioning at the plant which is expected to be completed by September 2012.
Mekanika Ltd offers a range of products and services including lifts and escalators, facilities management, industrial products and building services contracting. Mekanika is the exclusive representative of Kone Lifts and escalators and Sanyo air-conditioners in Malta.
Gasco Energy Ltd chief executive officer Roberto Capelluto said the investment in a new LPG facility is of national importance and added that Gasco’s decision to award this contract stems from their belief in Mekanika’s ability to deliver timely solutions through their vast expertise and quality brands.
