The Queen Elizabeth made its maiden call at Malta this morning.

The massive cruise liner made a majestic entrance into Grand Harbour at 10.30 a.m., and will be departing Malta at 6.30 p.m.

A gun salute was fired by members of Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna to welcome the ship.

The 92,000 ton cruise liner is owned and operated by the Cunard Line and entered into service in October.

With a length of 294 metres and 12 passenger decks this luxury cruise ship may carry up to 2,172 passengers.
