Two fatal accidents were reported at places of work between July and September, one more than in the same quarter of the previous year.
The number of non-fatal accidents went up by 30, or 3.4 per cent, bringing the total to 915. Elementary occupations accounted for 47 per cent of the total, the biggest proportion.
The majority of accidents involving men occurred in the 25-34 age bracket and there were more accidents in the 15-24 age bracket among women.
Wounds and superficial injuries were the most common types of injury reported and there were also cases of burns, scalds and chemical burns.
