A 28-year-old man from Gzira was this morning granted bail against a personal guarantee of €5,000 after he pleaded not guilty to slightly injuring his partner.

Kevin Spiteri was also charged with breaching the public peace, threatening his partner and damaging her property.

The argument being the two started at the partner’s residence in Bahrija. He allegedly followed her to her parents’ house in Attard and smashed the garage door, trying to attack her.

A protection order was placed in favour of the woman and her family.
