Labour’s VAT proposal
In the story Leaders Tussle Over The Timing Of Tax Cuts (November 5) it was reported that Joseph Muscat, the Opposition leader, “rubbished the calculations made by me on November 2 of what Labour’s financial and economic proposals would cost” (The Times, November 3).
Not quite. Dr Muscat has so far failed to contest any of the figures we aired, except one. We costed the loss of government revenue if VAT had to be reduced from 18 to 17 per cent. The Times reports the Opposition leader saying that this measure “was not a Labour Party proposal”. Really? Here is what Dr Muscat said on October 25, 2009: “Now that the EU has given us the chance, the 18 per cent VAT rate should be reduced.”

It seems that some people are more interested in envying Lou Bondi than in finding out the truth.

Perhaps Mr Bondin may want to investigate the EUish claim that our health service should be costing us 40% less (i.e. a few hundreds of millions less).

labour' dictum. He/she who is not with us is against us. He/she who does not sing our song is against us.

The TRUTH hurts. So after all Joseph Muscat was not telling the truth regarding the Labour VAt Proposal. Keep on doing the good work Mr. Bondi. So far no one challenged with facts your calculations and statement.

Hey Lou, how about publishing what you and your company have earned under PN governments because of you being a blue-eyed boy?

How about Mr. Bondi explain to us the costings the Government is going to undertake regarding the National Debt of Euro 5,000,000,000? The Roofless Theatre and Parliament Euro 100,000,000. The Debt on Mater Dei Euro 250,000,000. The Debt on the Delimara Power Statio Euro 650,000,000. And how about the overruns every project done by this administration carries with it? Won't wait with bated breath for your answer, Mr. Bondi.

If anybody had any lingering doubts that Lou Bondi is, in reality, a PN activist thinly disguised as a journalist, this should have finally cleared them.
