A man and a woman were slightly injured in a head-on collision between two cars outside the Cospicua tunnel, causing long tailback.

The 46-year-old woman from Qormi was passenger in a red Toyota Tercel driven by a 58-year-old man from St Paul’s Bay towards Cospicua.

At about noon, the Toyota was involved in a head-on collision with a black Chevrolet driven by a 43-year-old man from Cos­picua in the opposite direction.

The two in the Toyota were hospitalised and treated for slight injuries they had sustained.

The driver of the Chevrolet was not injured.
