Thirty-six competitors took part in this year’s karting competition orga­nised by the Malta McLaren F1 Club at the Badger Raceway, Ta’ Qali.

Competition winner Martin Abela was presented with the McLaren Club Challenge Cup by the club’s chairman, Penelope Ciangura.

Saviour Grima and Jurgen Scicluna placed second and third respectively. They also received trophies donated by Badger Raceway. A memento was presented to all the participants.

This is the seventh karting event organised by the local McLaren Club since its foundation 12 years ago.

A large number of members, friends and relatives supported the com­pe­tition, while club official Joseph Baron was in charge of the event.
