The flashlights shone on Italian MEP Licia Ronzulli’s baby during the European Parliament’s vote to extend paid maternity leave to a minimum of 20 weeks across Europe. The controversial issue will be debated at a European Parliament Citizens’ Forum entitled Why Should I Pay For You To Have Children? to be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Westin Dragonara Pavillion, St Julians. The forum’s keynote speakers will include MEPs Simon Busuttil and Edward Scicluna.
