Malta showcased to over 2.2 million at Expo

Over 2.2 million visitors visited the Malta Pavillion at the Shanghai Expo, which has just closed after six months, Malta Enterprise said today.

"Such exposure provided an ideal opportunity to promote Malta and thereby enhance the possibility of increased visits from within this market, whether for leisure or business purposes," ME said.

Malta, it said, was relatively unknown to the majority of visitors, but a presentation about the country and its history as well as the information that was distributed enabled them to become familiar with all that Malta can offer.

Officials handed out audio-visual material as well as Maltese foods and beverages.
