New shareholders for JLT Insurance Management Malta

Risk and Reinsurance Solutions SA is to become a 33 per cent shareholder in JLT Insurance Management Malta Ltd after approval was granted by the Malta Financial Services Authority.

JLT Insurance Management Malta Ltd is a joint venture between JLT Insurance Management (Guernsey) Limited and Elmo Insurance Limited, a Maltese domestic insurer.

Risk and Reinsurance Solutions SA is a subsidiary of Siaci Saint Honoré (Groupe Edmond de Rothschild) the French broker. It is the third largest captive management company in continental Europe.

Nick Wild, executive chairman of JLT Insurance Management said: “The inclusion of 2RS as a shareholder in JLTIMM fits squarely with our strategy to expand our client base in the European market. 2RS has an excellent track record of success in this market place and it will considerably strengthen the offering of the Malta operation.
