Domestica builds innovative stand for sofa maker Nicoletti

Domestica of Msida has penetrated the overseas market through its manufacturing arm after being commissioned by Italian sofa giants Nicoletti to build a ground-breaking stand that will be used at the Brussels Fair and the Milan Fair, both premier trade events for furniture importers and makers.

The 200-square metre stand has been manufactured in Malta at the Domestica factory in Attard and is easy to dismantle and set up for multiple use.

It will be used for the first time in Brussels this month where the event is expected to attract more than 20,000 visitors. With more than 300 exhibitors filling up seven halls, the Brussels expo is considered one of the strongest commercial platforms in the international sector.

“The Domestica manufacturing arm has over 40 years’ experience and employs some of the top craftsmen and women in the industry,” managing director Chris Vassallo Cesareo said. “Domestica’s custom-made furniture enjoys an excellent reputation and we have been responsible for large scale corporate projects, so it is with enthusiasm that we have taken on the opportunity to work hand in hand with Nicoletti.”

“Nicolettihome is proud to be the first company in the furniture field to show its products on a stand that is manufactured using such avant-garde and lightweight materials,” Nicolettihome managing director Eastachio Nicoletti said. “We will certainly be promoting this new presentation around the world.”
