Man jailed for trafficking drugs
Louis Scerri, a 33-year-old man from Zabbar has been jailed two years and fined €2,000 after pleading guilty to drug possession and trafficking.
Brian Vella, also of Zabbar, pleaded not guilty to the same charges and was remanded in custody.
The police said in a statement they intercepted the men at Zabbar yesterday after observing their movements. The two were found in possession of heroin and cannabis. A small amount of drugs was also found at the residence of one of them.
