I have just read Michael Scicluna’s letter Messages Getting Through (October 27) regarding queries and complaints to ARMS Ltd being tackled without delay if these are publicised in the media, so I thought I’d try my luck.

Very briefly, I e-mailed a simple query to the customer care people at ARMS Ltd on October 14. As no reply was forthcoming, except for a computer-generated acknowledgement, I e-mailed a reminder on the 20th. Again, no reply. So I sent another reminder on the 26th. To date, I am still waiting for a reply so that I can settle my outstanding invoice.

My query? On checking my latest actual invoice, I noted that part of the period I was being billed for had also been included in a previous invoice, part actual and part estimate, which I had paid. So I asked whether I was being billed twice for the same period.

Fairly simple, I would have thought. Apparently not. Either that or the people at ARMS must be exceptionally busy.

Perhaps the new CEO can start by tackling the customer care section.
