Following the vox pop carried out in The Sunday Times on October 17, which asked whether the University Students’ Council (KSU) was transparent with the allocation of its funds, KSU has said all details pertaining to its funds and expenses are available in full detail in the financial report it publishes during its annual general meeting.

These reports are available on its website, www.ksu.org.mt, in the ‘resources’ section, all year round. Hard copies are also available from the KSU office.

Anybody who wishes to question KSU’s allocation of funds is free to do so at the AGM, which is open to all University students.

KSU also updates its website daily with information and publishes quarterly magazines which aim to inform students about activities open to them.

KSU has a number of funds which are open for students to apply for so they can attend conferences, buy books and materials related to their studies, and finance projects they will be undertaking.

KSU also said it does not receive any of the money which the government gives to University, nor does it get funds from any governmental body; it is financed through sponsors and fund-raising events.
