The Malta Association of Crohn’s and Colitis (MACC) will organise a seminar on reproductive issues and medicine in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) at the Medical School Auditorium, Mater Dei Hospital, Msida on Friday at 7.30 p.m.

The guest speaker will be gynaecologist and obstetrician Johann Craus. He will discuss the medicine used to treat IBD and its effect on reproduction and female health. Mr Craus will also talk about IBD in relation to pregnancy and breast feeding.

After the talk, those present will be invited to ask questions about this subject.

The main aims of MACC are to offer support to people suffering from Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis and their relatives, to help them improve their quality of life and to promote public awareness about these chronic conditions. It also intends to promote patients’ needs and rights and to encourage and promote research.
