How it comes that after a strike the price of items goes up such as in the case of the propane gas which is used by a number of industries. Does this mean that when the strike stops the things goes back to their original price. Apart from this, does it mean that we have no reserve gas in the Gas plant tanks ? If so we soon hear of another increase in the Butane Gas used by the families. There it goes the 1.16 weekly euro increase. How can one plan in advance the running costs of a food outlet without passing back these increases to the consumers. Please be sincere to the people.

As there is VAT included, would my distributor issue a vat receipt?

Good comment from another reader - Why is it that we never get a VAT receipt from these people ???? Surely this is illegal ??

Besides the door to door distributions, may we finally have the added help to buy the gas directly from any Service station ?

I am truely surprised there was no increase in our commonly used gas.Hasn^t the price gone up enough till now.Well,this time no increase but probably sooner than later we will hear of yet another increase of this household necessity.

@J Busuttil
I personally do not use propane gas,however its not rocket science to know that any product that will be produced with the use of propane gas will go up in price.
The price hike might not bother you,but I,m sure it will bother others.

May I ask, the stricks are on for a few weeks, so I understand that we do not have a reserve supply, the first insability in Italy and France will put our country to a dead Stop. Correct me
if I am wrong, this system does not comply with the EU regulations. Another point, what sort of agreement Malta and Italy has signed,will the country keep facing such shortages. If the agreement does not cover this section, Better Urgently Revise the Contract. Let us be smart and tackel the problem Now, the consumers will have rest of mind, and less grumbling all over the media.

Any excuse is good enough so long that the prices go up.

Of course they will go down,probably by a couple of cents, then next time they will go up by another 50 cents.

s. koludrovic for what do you use propane gas, as it seems that the price has really upset you. What colour are the gas cylinders?

@ gc forte Get your facts right .The Gas cylinder is red, try and spot it on the Gas trucks. Very difficult to see if not on order. Or you have to go to B'Bugia
@ . B.Busuttil my point is that it seems that it is not much used. Just a storm in the tea cup by s.koludrovic

@j busutill,
Blessed are you.
Maybe for you my remark might be a storm in a teacup, but for people affected with this price hike I think its more like a hurricane.

@ jbusutill........You are right, propane cylinders are red. ( I have worked for 10 years as a gas cylinders distributor ). My point is not the color, but it seems that we are going to have a raise in prices of gas, like the petrol, diesel, ect ect........every month, irrelevant what the color is. Soon every thing is going to be like this except our wages.
