Zebra crossing is badly needed

The rebuilding of the road linking Victoria to Għarb in Gozo was co-financed by the EU.

This road was inaugurated over two years ago.

Works on this road involved the rebuilding of Għarb and Pope John Paul II Streets according to high standards of road construction, road widening and improvement in road alignment, plus a number of junctions.

However, the zebra crossing in the old road near Pope John Paul II Street is still missing in thishigh-standard road.

When will it be installed to make it easier for pedestrians to cross this main artery?

Can this necessary zebra crossing be facilitated with pelican crossing/lights?
