The blood-red tricycle ridden by demonic child Damien in horror film The Omen is to be sold at auction.

The creepy prop is owned by the actor who played the apparently innocent little boy whose presence leads to a string of brutal deaths and who is eventually revealed as the son of Satan.

In one of the 1976 film’s most famous scenes, Damien rides the tricycle down a corridor and into a chair on which his mother is standing, sending her plunging to her death over a bannister.

British actor Harvey Stephens, who received a Golden Globe nomination for his performance as Damien, recalled: “I can remember riding around the film set on the tricycle - the house was so big they had to mark out my route with masking tape and arrows so I didn’t get lost.

“My two children have been riding about on it recently, but luckily they have no idea about its scary history.”
