TANTI. On October 28, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPHINE of Valletta (ex-President, Legion of Mary, St Paul Shipwrecked, Valletta), aged 99, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister Mary of UK, her niece Yvonne, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 10 a.m. for St Augustine parish church, Valletta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 10.30 a.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Requiem masses

A Mass will be said tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes chapel, Capuchin Friary, Floriana, remembering the first anniversary of the death of Dr ANTON TABONE who passed away on October 30, 2009.

Double treat

If you love cats and Michael Jackson’s music you’re in for a double treat this weekend with an event being held at the Inspire Park of Friendship in Marsascala.

The Malta Cat Cub is holding its cat show today at 3 p.m. and tomorrow at 10 a.m.

Additionally, all Michael Jackson fans, moonwalkers, breakdancers and everyone who want to have fun, listen to music and learn a dance in aid of a good cause can visit Inspire tomorrow and boogie to the beat.

Thriller for Inspire will start with rehearsals at 2.30 p.m. The dance goes on air at 4 p.m.

Entry is free for the cat show and those taking part in the dance.
