Science and technology festival at University

Some 10,000 students are taking part in the second Science and Technology Festival being held at the University campus until tomorrow.

“All visits are full to the brim with enthusiastic students who are at the same time enjoying themselves and learning scientific concepts,” Malta Council for Science and Technology chairman Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando said.

The festival, which opened on Friday, is a fun-filled event seeking to educate and entertain schoolchildren and the public by bringing to life the world of science and technology with interactive hands-on exhibits.

Dr Pullicino Orlando said science popularisation was a very important pillar of the council, which included the EU’s seventh framework programme that is co-financing the festival.
